Are they deadbeat poets or the antithesis of pro’s of prose? Or are they Dead Beat Poets in the likes of Jack Kerouac? A clever double entendre and a clever band.
Fans of “Raspberries” wine and “Big Star” gazes will comprehend the level of musicianship, grit and real rock and roll swagger.
Frank Secich (of Ash and the Stiv Bators Band) could cease to do no wrong in my eyes. “Disconnected” by Stiv Bators is one under rated LP with healthy doses of powerpop and chunks of reworked 60’s nuggets.

That being stated the Deadbeat Poets “Notes from the Underground” manifests itself from that direction growing and maturing like a festering cancer ready to grasp and conquer. This is a diamond in the rough in the age of polished industry punk. Look to the elders and seek maturity and wisdom and just damn good rock and roll. This is no potboiler churned out for a quick buck, fuck and snort. Turpitude and attitude reconstituted with maturity, heart and one great cd from Flying Saucers to Nothing.
